The Desert Will Bloom and Blossom

When the Jews first entered the promised land over 3500 years ago it was a land flowing with milk and honey. All the time they were living there, the land would flourish and bloom. Until 2000 years ago when they rejected their Messiah and God caused their dispersion, scattering them across the world. For over 1800 years the land suffered without its chosen people. No one was interested in the land, and so it died, turning into a desert wasteland where very little could live.

Just under 100 years ago, the early Zionist pioneers arrived in that desolate place and started planting trees, lots of trees, in fact, in the last century over 240,000,000 trees have been planted across Israel.

The prophet Isaiah foretold a time when “The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;” (Isaiah 35:1)

It’s totally amazing to see, that in just under 100 years, that tiny fledgling State of Israel has developed into the world’s 8th most powerful nation and using revolutionary agricultural methods has brought the land back to life so that now even the sand produces plentiful crops! In their short lifetime as a modern State, Israel has become the main exporter of roses to Europe and exports much of its fruit across the world.

It is undeniable that the Jews are the rightful occupants of the land of Israel. Only God Himself could have caused its rejuvenation and their success in such a short period of time, and even nature itself proclaims it’s true!

Earlier this week, all across the world Jews celebrate Tu BiSh’vat or the “New Year of the Trees”. It’s a holiday that’s celebrated on the 15th of the Hebrew month Sh’vat. Scholars believe that Tu BiSh’vat was an agricultural festival, marking the coming of spring. Jews all around the world plant trees honouring and remembering lost family and friends.

Do you believe that God has finished His dealings with the Nation of Israel? Do you believe God has passed all of their promises onto the church? Many leaders in the church (those that spiritualise the Bible) will tell you He has. They won’t admit to believing in “replacement theology” and they won’t usually give you a straight answer either. Don’t get caught up in their false teachings that make God out to be a promise breaker! God hasn’t finished with Israel! One day soon, Israel, as a nation, will realise that Jesus is their long awaited Messiah and as a nation they will turn to Him.

“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on Him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over Him, as one weeps over a firstborn. On that day the mourning in Jerusalem will be as great as the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. The land shall mourn, each family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves; and all the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves. (Zechariah 12:10-14)

All of Israel will be saved! It won’t be  just a few becoming Christians! The whole nation will turn to their God and Messiah, Jesus Christ the Lord. If you’re looking for revival, Israel is the next place it’s going to happen.

Before then Israel must go through a time of great trouble. The Bible calls it “the Time of Jacob’s Troubles” or the Great Tribulation (Jeremiah 30:7). The church will be taken out of the world before this at an event we call the “Catching up” or “the Rapture” (1 Thes 4:16-17). The church age will come to an end and God will resume his dealings with Israel.

If you haven’t yet realised that you’re a sinner and made a decision to follow Christ, then I’m afraid your future is very bleak. You will be left behind when the church (and all young children) are taken to safety at “The Rapture”. Are any of your family and loved ones “true Christians”? They will be taken, leaving you behind to face God’s wrath on your own? People will be saved after the church has gone, but life will be really tough! If you are not killed by one of the worldwide earthquakes, diseases or famines, then you will face the worst persecution Christians have ever seen. (Luke 21:10-38

Turn on the news and you can see that the world is a total mess. People are ready to accept someone who can bring peace and order. The Muslims expect their messiah to appear soon, that’s what the “Islamic State” and their Caliphate is all about. The Bible teaches us about a man who will be revealed after the church has been removed, the Bible calls him “the man of sin” or “the Antichrist” (2 Thes 2:3-4). For the first 3 and a half years of his 7 year rule he will be a man of peace, lulling people into a false sense of security and safety. Then once he has the world under his control he will turn into the most evil dictator the world has ever known, proclaiming himself to be god and causing everyone to take his mark and worship him. Everyone will be forced to take a microchip under their skin and a mark on their hand or head to show allegiance to him, without it you won’t be able to buy or sell. Refuse to take the mark and worship him and you will be executed. (Rev 13:16-17)

There is no reason to disbelieve any of this! The Bible has been stunningly accurate in all of its predictions to date, so why would any of its future prophecies be any different? A prototype of the microchip I’m talking about is already being implanted into people. Cash is becoming obsolete; Sweden looks like they will be the first “cashless society“. Look at the state of the world’s financial system, it could collapse at any moment. Thousands of Christians are being persecuted and executed at the hands of the Islamic State and other Muslim countries. Look at the severe weather patterns, famine, disease and earthquakes (Luke 21:10-28) See the increase in knowledge and the ease of travel through technology (Daniel 12:4). See the wickedness and self-centredness of man (2 Tim 3:1-5).  See the disobedience of our teanagers and their lack of respect for authority. (Rom 1:28-31)

All of these things, and more were predicted in the Bible over 2000 years ago, and it’s all happening right now!

The pages of the Bible  are coming to life! Are you ready for the next chapter?

Come to Jesus now while there is still time. His offer of eternal life will only be valid for a little more time.

This is His offer-   Everyone has sinned. The judge of this world (Jesus Christ the Lord) cannot allow that sin go unpunished. God is perfect and cannot sin.  He was the only one eligible to take the punishment for your sin instead of you. So He became a man and He died as your substitute 2000 years ago. His name is Jesus.  All you have to do is realise that you are a sinner and repent of your sin. Accept Jesus as your Saviour and King and follow Him. He is the only way to heaven because He is the only one who has died in your place.

At the end of this time of trouble Jesus Christ will return a second time. This time in all His power and glory, to start His reign here on earth. He will throw satan into a bottomless pit where he will stay bound for 1000 years. The world will be rejuvenated and turned into a paradise once more.

The world will blossom and bloom again under the rule of  Jesus Christ the Lord, the eternal King of Kings…

We would love to hear you comments.
